KEPCO Midnight electriicity equipment testing

Definition of Midnight-electricity

To efficiently operate electricity equipments by distributing electricity demand focused on a specific time zone and increasing the electricity demand for the midnight time zone (11:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.) which use less electricity at night, it is a separate rate system for the heating or cooling equipment by receiving electricity and producing heat, hot water or ice at midnight time zone

What is the cool storage system?

Cool storage systems store heat in the cool storage medium during the off-peak period of a day, usually from 11 p.m. to 9 a.m. the next day, using low-priced electricity. The stored cooling is used for air-conditioning or other purposes. The cool storage medium can be chilled water, ice, and so on. The system contributes to lowering peak demand during on-peak periods of a day and can be an excellent choice of air-conditioning for mid-size and large buildings.
